JEE Main (Engineering)
Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main), formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), is an Indian standardised computer-based test for admission to various technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning across colleges in India. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, etc. programs in premier technical institutes such as the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), which are based on the rank secured in the JEE-Main. It is usually conducted twice every year. Since mid of 2019, the JEE has been conducted fully online as a computerised test.
NEET (Medical)
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.
The exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities for seat allocation.
NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions to MBBS and BDS colleges across India.NEET UG is one of the largest exam in India in terms of registered applicants.
KEAM
The full form of KEAM stands for the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical and the application process for the KEAM entrance exam 2023 is due to start in the month of March. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination under the aegis of the Kerala government. The entrance exam is for admissions to undergraduate professional courses in subject areas like Engineering, Medicine, Fisheries, Architecture, Ayurveda, Pharmacy, Forestry, Agriculture and Veterinary. Over 145 colleges across the state of Kerela accept KEAM scores for admissions.
IISER
The IISER Aptitude Test (popularly known as IAT) is an annual academic examination held in India. It is organized by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research under a Joint Admissions Committee. It is one of the ways to get admission into the BS-MS dual degree programs and BS degree programs of IISER apart from JEE-Advanced and KVPY exam (now discontinued).
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is conducted as a computer based test in centres across India. IAT consists of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Total time for answering the test is 180 minutes. Questions are of multiple choice type with only one correct answer. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks. Each incorrect answer leads to the deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions are awarded 0 mark. Therefore, maximum marks in IAT is 240.
NDA
The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. The NDA is located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.
